Welcome to the home of the LPC2000 Flash Burner plug-in. If you are a hardcore ARM7 developer using the Eclipse C/C++ IDE and don't like the switching between your IDE and NXP's flasher tool, or you want to work under MacOSX or Linux, then this plug-in will make your life easier.
Supported platforms: MacOSX (PPC), Win32 (x86), Linux (x86)
It can be simply installed from within Eclipse using Update Manager. All what You should do is just point the Update Manager to the update site:
- Start Eclipse and select menu item 'Help > Software Updates > Find and Install...'
- In the 'Install/Update' wizard select 'Search for new features to install' option and click on the 'Next' button.
- The 'Install' dialog shows a list of available update sites. Click on the 'New Remote Site...' button to add LPC2000 Flash Burner update site.
- On the 'New Update Site' dialog enter the name of update site and the URL.
- Name: LPC2000 Flash Burner
- URL: http://www.kroy.hu/lpc2k/site.xml
- To start features search in the list of the update sites You should select 'LPC2000 Flash Burner' and click on the 'Finish' button.
- Update manager checks update site and shows the list of available features. You can expand the tree and select features to install.
- Accept terms of license agreement and click on the 'Next >' button.
- Click on the 'Finish' button in order to start the download of selected features.
- Click on the 'Install All' button in order to confirm installation of downloaded features.
- To apply installation changes and restart Eclipse click on the 'Yes' button.
- After Eclipse restart you are able to start using LPC2000 Flash Burner
If you've successfully installed the plug-in you can reach its documentation within the Eclipse's Help sub-system. Just click on the 'Help > Help Contents' menu and select 'LPC2000 Flash Burner' node.
Due to the locking mechanism of RxTx library (used by this plug-in) you may need to assign your user to a specific group. For more information please read through this page: How can I use Lock Files with rxtx?
Minimum requirements:
- Win32, Linux (x86-only), MacOSX (PowerPC and x86)
- Java Run-time Environment 1.5.0 or better
- One available serial port (I use it on my MacBook Pro with an FTDI-based USB-to-RS232 converter)
Fixed bugs:
- LPC2K-005 - x86-based MacOSX is not supported.
- LPC2K-006 - Can't load native libraries on all systems.
- LPC2K-007 - Installation does not support Eclipse's new provision mechanism.
Fixed bugs:
- LPC2K-001 - Extended Segment Address record type in iHex file not handled correctly.
- LPC2K-002 - In some cases error code #6 (COUNT_ERROR) returned during upload process.
